What We Offer?
Early Education Intervention
We believe in empowering low-income children through educational success. Studies show that students not reading proficiently by third grade are four times more likely to leave high school without a diploma. Our tutoring and mentorship programs, focusing on reading, writing, and math, support academic success, prevent learning loss, and provide basic needs like healthy food and safe supervision.
With this in mind, our tutoring and mentorship programs are free for qualified low-income elementary aged children and focus on building competencies in reading, writing and math. Our programs support academic success during the school year, prevent summer learning loss, and provide basic need support services such as healthy food and safe supervision.
Above all else, our students receive personal mentorship from adults who care about their success and are empowered to have a motivated and positive mindset.
Notary Services
We provide free notary services by appointment for veterans, low-income individuals, and those in shelters or homeless camps. A valid California ID is often required for essential support services. Additionally, we offer these services to local shelters and non-profit partners.
Our organization also provides free notary services to local homeless shelters and other non-profit partners through our partner share program.
Hygiene Care Kits
Often many of us take basic toiletry items for granted. Our organization provides hygiene items to those suffering from homelessness. A few of the most requested items we receive are, socks, underwear, body wipes, chapstick, sanitary napkins and bottled water.
Over the last year, we were able to distribute over 10,000 hygiene, toiletry, and clothing items. While good personal hygiene is well known to reduce the risk of infectious disease and improve mental health, as well as improve self-confidence among people experiencing homelessness, not enough attention and resources are allocated.
Outreach
Outreach is a very important part of what we do. On a regular basis our team walks to local homeless camps and provide hot coffee, donuts, and a hygiene care Kits.
Our goal is to build long lasting positive relationships with our clients where they live and learn their stories and life journey, so that we can better serve them.
