We are a San Jose based nonprofit focused on serving, strengthening, and advocating for the low-income and underserved in our community.
Our programs provide support resources, educational and mentorship opportunities for low-income elementary age children.
Our Vision is for every person in our community to have access to the tools and resources they need to become self-sufficient and live healthy, fulfilling lives.
Our Mission is to bring people and resources together to meet the needs of the underserved in our community.
We’re a team with deep roots of struggle, progress and service. We come together with a shared sense of empathy and love for our community. Those who partner with us share the fundamental values of non-judgement, respect, kindness and generosity.
Muindi Foundation had its beginnings in 2018 in San Jose, California, with only 5 members. The organization was founded by Tim and Serena Muindi who’s parents inspired them be a part and serve the underserved in their community. Serena worked with the IRS for the organization’s 501(c)(3) designation that same year.
Muindi Foundation started with providing basic needs support to the homeless in there community and have grown to incorporate tutoring and mentorship support.
